Interested in adding a Whiskerkins puppy to your family for free? I want to make sure that all of my breeding dogs live in loving homes and get all of the care and attention they deserve. As I move into the next generation of my breeding dogs, I will be seeking guardian families to take in the new puppies, to love and cherish as your own. If you become a guardian family, I give you a puppy or young adult dog, and you will be added to the CKC Registry as a co-owner with me. You would be responsible for the dog’s food, pet insurance, vet bills, training, etc. just like you would be if you had purchased the puppy. But, instead of paying full price for your dog, you take him or her home for free, and then βlendβ him or her to me periodically. If he’s a boy, you would bring him over to visit me every other day or so for a period of a week, up to twice a year after he becomes mature, for 5-7 years, after which I will pay to have him fixed. If she’s a girl, I would breed her 3 times and retain the litters, after which I will pay to have her fixed and you would have no further commitment. Or, you could choose to have a fourth litter of puppies before I pay to get her fixed, and I will retain the puppies but give you a puppy of your choice from this fourth litter for free as well, to keep for yourself or I can sell the puppy for you. You would need to pay to get that puppy fixed, as he or she would be made available on a non-breeding agreement. Guardian homes will become an important part of my breeding program, because I want our breeding dogs to live in loving homes, never in a barn or outdoor kennel like some breeders keep their dogs. Many breeders rehome their dogs when they finish their breeding careers, but I do not wish to do that if I can avoid it (they are family). I would much rather give a dog away for free to a loving home while they are young. This will let me continue to offer beautiful Maltese and Yorkie puppies without my own home being overrun with new dogs every few years! I am an in-home breeder, and a loving, life-long home and a warm lap for every dog are a key part of my breeding philosophy. If you are interested in becoming a guardian family, please email me!
